here for Spreadsheet Greeting Fellow Slope Racers! As we arrived early, things didn't look good at noon. But soon the wind turned on, and racing began. A much different affair than blazing summer, world-record-cranking Vincent, but fun anyway. 12 Pilots, 6 rounds were flown plus a round 0. Fastest time was Joe Wurts with 48.4sec run. I can honestly say that the wind was VERY fluky. HUGE holes would open up and toss our models around like ships in a bottle and resulted in huge differences in lap times. Joe Wurts for example cooked across the course in 2.5sec only to return at 8+sec the other direction. The good news was we all faced the same problem throughout the day, so it was as fair could be expected. Joe did manage to get a practice run in at 35.28 to proved that Feb at Vincent has possibilities! The downside however was the unexpected carnage. Mike Sheridan lost his Miraj early, and then landed out and crushed his Millennium wing tips. Newcomer Steve Galle lost sight of his Opus as it blew past Base B and it somehow managed to land flat in a bush with no damage except to his confidence. Down and Out: Colin Craft- Servo arm in round three, Nathan Woods- busted vtail and perforated wing, Dan Field-crushed nose looking for gophers, Jerry Craft - dinged LE, Tim Cone- pierced wing skin and popped servos, the list goes on... The Vincent reputation lives long!
