are the results for F3F at
Vincent.
The official start time
was delayed from noon to
underway at 1:20 pm, having to
wait for the wind to switch.
Once direction changed,
the wind held from 16 to 22 for
most of the day.
This was Thirteen
pilots started, lost Matt Stober
in round one, Mike Sheridan in
rd. eight with back planes
coming into play with assorted
primary problems from others. Doug
Reel climbed the standings from
5th to 2nd
after taping one Aileron to an
unmovable position somewhere
around rd. 5.
A gusty move, turns were
still the usual fast and clean
Reel style, key to his success
was bunches of opposite aileron.
J Newbies
Mark Ferreira, Kyle Paulson and
Jay Whitley were seen with
smiles on their faces, all did
very well.
Kyle Paulson, seems to be
a natural for F3F and caught on
fast with a very nice turning
style that improved throughout
the comp. Just missed joining
the Sub 40 Club by rd eight with
a 40.47 in his first event. Fastest
time of the comp was hotly
contested with 5 pilots between
36.60 and 38.61, with Dan Field
( that would be me J
) with the 36.60. Results
below, congrats to Cone 3rd,
Reel 2nd and Field
for 1st.
I probably don’t have
all the planes flown correct. Thanks
for all the help, everyone
chipped in including hauling
some stuff up the hill, it was
appreciated. Special
thanks to my eleven year old son
Brian for Co- CD’ing. He ran
the timer for a good portion of
the comp and received many
compliments. Thanks guys for the
words of encouragement. Regards,
