Greeting Fellow Slope Racers!
Today's conditions were excellent,
steady 10 to 15 MPH, sunny, not
too hot. Very very pleasant. I
am very thankful for everyone
helping out. With smaller turnouts
like we had today, cooperation is
essential and we enjoyed it from
everyone. A special thanks to the
PSS locals who exhibited a great
deal of patience and respect while
we used their home slope.
We were pleased to be joined by a
few new faces today. Local PSS
pilot Mark Henkels entered with a
2M Fox semi-scale plane, started
to really get the hang of it
towards the end. That Fox was
surprisingly fast...of course,
weighing 74 ounces dry might have
helped in that department :-)
The young Luke Waters was scary
impressive. This was his second
time on the slope ever! And he
found those corners every time.
He flew an extremely tight
course. Watch out for this guy.
We were fortunate that everyone
brought home their hardware in one
piece.
It was a nice relaxing day...for
most of us. I think there was
still some stigmata from the
Viking Cup brought in today, but
by and large, we had a very fair
and smooth contest.
Thanks guys.
