Hi Slope Racers
First, thanks Steve for CD'ing
today, fine job... Steve was so
eager he
showed up yesterday but the rest
of us thought Sunday might be a
wee bit
better.
For those that chose to stay home
today missed a very nice day on
the slope.
At the 11:00 AM sign in Whitaker
already had a nice breeze and an
overcast
sky. I was thinking upper 90's and
now was wishing I had a jacket of
all
things. By race time we had a
little sun coming through and it
was very
comfortable all day, not too hot
or cold.
In the 60" class which went off
first in about 12 or so, enough
for full
ballast or close, wily Bill won't
divulge his race secrets..:-)
One Midair with Steve Drake coming
out the better with Ray Kuntz. I
crashed
all by myself in the hole on "A"
that came and went on occasion.
60" Composite
-
Four pilots...
1. Steve Drake 10
2. Bill DelHagen
13
3. Tie Ray Kuntz and Dan Field
19
Congrats to Bill
Unlimited Composites - Four
Pilots...
About 2 PM saw the unlimited
planes, also four pilots. Ray had
a solo crash
far down in the bush but was able
to retrieve the plane. Steve and
Highfield were so close once on
turn B, we don't' know how they
didn't
exchange any paint.
1. Ray Kuntz 11
2. Bill DelHagen 13
3. W. Highfield 18
4. Steve Drake 21
Congrats to Ray, he flew smooth
and tight all day.
regards,
Dan Field
