Vincent Hill Slope Site Information

   Updated  03/15/04

Vincent Hill Flying Site, Vincent, CA USA  (34*30.62 N  118*06.62W)

Vincent usually has outstanding lift, landing is difficult ... but the amount of lift more than makes up for it.
Vincent is a summer time slope, and works best after 12:00 noon (when the desert heats up).

Directions from Los Angeles area:  With GPS Coordinates

From L.A., get on the 14 Highway  going North to Palmdale.

Go about 30 miles then exit at the Angeles Forest Highway/Littlerock Exit.  As you enter the exit the road will split, stay to the right.  This is the Little Rock exit.  Immediately you will come to a fork at the stop sign.  Stay to the left at the stop sign.  Go straight and over the small bridge in front of you. (For those of you with a GPS, the coordinates are 34*30.62 N  118*06.62W)  This is Angeles Forest Highway.  Look to your left and you will see the flying site.  Knowing where you are to end up will help you navigate the dirt road on the mountain.  See the cell towers up high on your left?  You are going there!

Drive approximately 1.5 miles.  You will see a street sign on the right side of the road that says Vincent View...go LEFT on the dirt road at this point.  (34*29.79N  118*06.88W)  You will follow this dirt road for 1.75 miles.  (There are quite a few turnoffs on this road...simply stay left at first then on the most traveled dirt road...it should be obvious.)  As you near the top of the mountain, you will need to stay to the left in order to reach the communication towers/parking area. (34*30.24N  118*06.13W) Actually you can park a little closer to the flying area but you need 4WD or a friend with a 4WD.

Gather up your stuff and walk to the flying site.
(Just go left of the towers you see in the above photo)
